These units are designed to be fitted permanently to the vessel. These systems will 'automatically' report in, typically every couple of minutes in UK waters when moving and every half hour when not. These parameters can be altered remotely if you require something different.

Cost of the unit, aerials and power cables is £245 (No VAT). Running cost is just £18 per month (No VAT) for use on or around the UK Mainland. This includes all airtime, our data hosting service and 7 day week helpline. There is a minimum of a six month contract.

To be honest most customers undertake this themselves, but if installation is required, then we can arrange this from £45 per working hour, plus travailing time.

We offer the facility to password protect your boats location. However to be honest again, at a cost of £6.50 per month many small boat owners just call their boat by another name and leave it on one of the public pages. If however you operate a commercial fleet you will no doubt want to consider this facility.

In all cases (unlike most other people's systems) there are no other charges, or 'extras'. The price quoted for the units and airtime are all you pay. Being specialists in just this area we are currently under the VAT threshold and so you save there as well. 
 

UK use is defined by mainly used in the UK, with the occasional short trip abroad. i.e. If you slip over to France for a few days a couple of times a year, no one is going to moan.

If you are based outside the UK, airtime is higher because of the vicious roaming charges made by the network operators. As a general guide 'Roaming The Med' will cost around £20 - £30 a month (66-98p a day). Please contact us for specific charges if you are operating outside the UK.

Note in 2011 we have been told the data network provider's roaming charge for data transmissions may be lowered, but as yet not by how much, or when!
