Cost for our 'Portable' Tracking System

This unit with its internal battery, is designed to be 'worn' and will work outside almost anywhere in the UK. Its 'in building' performance is also the best we have seen. It will report to our Internet website it's location, typically every minute (around 14 hour battery life), or every five minutes (around 18 Hours)

Although the unit is designed to be portable. it can also be powered from a 12volt supply and permanently placed in a boat. In the event the source power is removed it will switch back to its own battery.

Cost of the standard unit, complete with 12 volt charger lead is just £178 (No VAT). Running cost is just £19.50 per month (No VAT) for use on or around the UK Mainland. This includes all airtime and hosting charges. There is a minimum of a six month contract.

Cost of our 'Mounted' Tracking System

Much the same principle as above, but these units are fitted permanently to the vessel. These systems will 'automatically' report in, typically every couple of minutes in UK waters when moving and every half hour when not. These parameters can be alter remotely if you require something different.

Cost of the unit, aerials and power cables is £285 (No VAT). Running cost is just £15 per month (No VAT) for use on or around the UK Mainland. This includes all airtime and hosting charges. There is a minimum of a six month contract.

Notes

Costs: In both cases (unlike most other peoples systems) there are no other charges, or 'extras'. The price quoted is all you pay. Being specialists in just this area we are currently under the VAT threshold and so you save there as well.

UK use is defined by mainly used in the UK, with the occasional short trip abroad. i.e. If you slip over to France for a few days a couple of times a year, no one is going to moan.

If you are based outside the UK, airtime is higher because of the vicious roaming charges made by the network operators. As a general guide 'Roaming The Med' would cost around £25 a month (80p a day). Please contact us for specific charges if you are cruising outside the UK
